Secondhand Shops For The Win!
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 @ 3:51 PM

Some think that secondhand shops are out of fashion (or they were not in, at all, to start with), but I think they are pretty wrong. You can get high-quality, original clothes for almost no money, or sell the ones which you will most likely never wear again. Now, who wouldn't want to shop at a place like this?

You should find one in your area (in bigger cities they are often more of them), and decide what are you looking for. Do you have something in mind or are you just looking for new clothes in general?

If you find something that catches your eye, try it on. Keep doing this until you are totally bored of the whole thing, and come back another day. If you feel like you should buy (for example) That T-shirt, but some changes need to be done on it, go to a tailor.

Also, don't forget to check the accessories, too. There are some treasures there, like belts, jewelery, shoes or hats. Even these are often quite inexpensive, and you should always remind yourself that from the money that you would spend on designer clothes you can get way more stuff here, for the same amount of money. Worth it, right?

Even if your inner-self keeps telling you how gross it is to buy someone else's clothes, give it a try. But before buying a piece of clothing always take a good look at it - are there any holes? Why did its owner want to get rid of it, anyway? If everything is fine, go ahead and buy it.
